Dear children,
Following the announcement of school closure, your teachers are unable to carry out the revision lessons we have planned for you. As such, for those in my group for English and Mathematics, please check your MC Online email by tonight.
Mathematics in Ms Tan's Group
Please complete all questions in Practice Paper 13 over the weekend.
Mathematics in Mrs Ong's Group
I will email you Homework Practice 6. Please print out and complete it. If you can't print it, please open up the document and do the questions on foolscap. This will give us more time to go through the problems next week.
English in Mrs Ong's Group
I will email you a composition on 'A Mystery'. It is a very interesting topic so do think through and plan your story curve before you write. Remember to apply the strategies of Internal Conflict or Character Growth taught whichever applicable. Please print out and complete it. If you can't print it, please open up the document, refer to the question and just do the composition on foolscap. I will pass you the composition question paper next week.
Please note that spelling will be postponed to next Tuesday.
Do take care of yourselves well during the haze period. Drink more water and avoid any outdoor activities. 'Mask up' if you have to go outdoors. You cannot see the particles you are breathing in but they will cause harm to your respiratory system and body.
Please get your parents to click here for the MOE press release with regards to school closure if they need more information.
Take care and I will see you soon!:)
Love,
Mrs Ong

Vocabulary and Ideas Associated with Train Breakdown
Dear children,
You can read the articles in the links given below and copy down the good phrases you can use in the composition if the topic is on a 'Train Breakdown'.
Look at how they describe the conditions inside the train during the breakdown. Avoid using the terms that are too technical, which describe the reasons behind the train breakdown, as you may not remember them. You can summarise that the train has broken down due to 'technical difficulties'.
